Many people still use traditional health devices like glucose meters, blood pressure monitors, and analog weight scales for personal health tracking. These devices are often available to consumers in pharmacies, local brick-and-mortar-stores, and popular online shopping destinations, however their lack of any sort of connectivity makes them challenging to integrate seamlessly into a remote care program.

VitalSnap (also known as OCR) helps bridge these devices with remote care and digital platforms. VitalSnap captures data from device screens using smartphone cameras. With the Inform SDK’s VitalSnap module, developers can easily add this feature to their apps. This ensures accurate health data entry without manual input.

VitalSnap provides the capability to obtain readings from supported devices without requiring Bluetooth integration. The recognition process is managed by an instance of ValidicOCRController.
